JK Handwriting is a Latin typeface developed jointly with the textbook publisher Tokyo Shoseki with the advice of Kayoko Murakami, an associate professor at Konan Women’s University who specializes in foreign language education. The typeface has a handwriting style that is easy to learn for English language beginners, and its rounded sans serif elements are designed to match the writing tools. The family comes in eight styles: five upright weights, one italic, one upright style with four lines, and one tracing style with four lines.
