Features of Hiragino Serif
Hiragino Serif is a serif typeface designed for use in visually oriented magazines and brochures. It is one of the best-known Japanese types as it is included as a system font in Mac OS X. Its large counters and letter face, simple elements, and slightly higher waist give the typeface a cool and urban feel. Changes in grayness of the characters have been minimized in order to handle the robustness of photos and illustrations. The typeface comes in seven weights from W2 to W8, enabling a variety of gray scale in typesetting.
