“HY ZhongSongTi” is a medium bold Mincho style simplified Chinese typeface made by HANYI with excellent identifiability, readability, and design possibilities. Morisawa’s “Ryumin” comes closest to the feel of the typeface, which is a clue to its versatility. The typeface’s unmistakable classical elegance is created by the finely adjusted, perfectly horizontal and perpendicular lines, the tear drops full of presence, and the elegantly tapered strokes. The vertical lines are scaled to just the right weight to make the typeface highly flexible for use in headlines, etc. where impact is desired, and for long texts that need to be read thoroughly.
