Features of Kocho

"Kōchō" is an original Ming-cho typeface based on the design jotted down over time by graphic designer Ikko Tanaka. With the roman Bodoni font in mind as the end game of elements of Ming-cho styles, its modern forms consists of horizontal strokes that are thinned and sharped to the max, triangular Uroko (serifs), full Osae (pressure), and vertical strokes that have solid strength. The resultant flavor is a sophisticated sharpness. This typeface has a dignity and delicate beauty which is ideal at large sizes for titles and posters.
