"Maru Antique," a Kana typeface for "Shin Maru Go," is an old style round Gothic Kana typeface. Different from traditional large, round Gothic Kana characters, the design uses the skeleton of the "Antique" typeface, thus creating a unique ambiance that is calm and rich. While this typeface does not have a strong individuality, there are many ways it can be used to create various impressions from the warmth of its heavy weights and the softness of its lighter weights. To go with "Shin Maru Go," it is available in seven weight variations.
