Three-time award winner "Suzumushi" was crowned the Morisawa Award Bronze Prize and the Akashi Award at Morisawa Type Design Competition 2012, as well as voted Peoples Choice Award. Plump and vivacious dots that look as if drawn by brushes dipped full of ink create a sweet and endearing characteristic. While the design uses a small face, the letters are intentionally unsquare, resulting in a light unbalanced rhythmical feel when the letters are combined. The difference in sizes for Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana allows the user to create movement in the typesetting.
