“UD Shin Go Hangul” is designed with the Japanese language “UD Shin Go” as its base, and is a Gothic Hangul typeface. While preserving the structural balance of Hangul, like “UD Shin Go” the counters have been widened to heighten visibility. Also, it was designed to read well both vertical and horizontal typesetting with the axis and width in vertical setting taken into consideration. “UD Shin Go Hangul” is designed to look like “UD Shin Go,” and like “UD Shin Go” it has eight weight variations, so a uniform look is achieved when Japanese and Hangul languages are typeset side by side.
