Features of Shin Go
Morisawa’s “Gakusan Fonts” are typefaces with a design that is compatible with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s curriculum guidelines on “exemplary character shape” for daily use Kanji and Kana. Stroke count and Hane (flick strokes), Osae (pressure) and Tome (stops), etc may normally take different forms depending on typeface, but these characters have been structured to make easy study of character form. Not only for use in textbooks, reference books, and supplementary readers, these typefaces are also suitable for picture books, and publications, toys, etc, for children. “Gakusan Jokai” follows the latest guideline of 2010.
