Morisawa Inc. began providing the second wave of its 2025–2026 new typefaces on Thursday, February 12, 2026, as part of the Morisawa Fonts Upgrade (February 2026 edition) for customers with an active Morisawa Fonts subscription.

This upgrade adds a total of 103 typeface families, including the new typeface Pufu Wonder from the popular Pufu series, as well as Japanese typefaces such as Kawara Gothic and Tarafuku, in addition to Latin, Chinese, and Thai fonts.

A new specimen book featuring the complete 2025–2026 new typeface lineup has also been completed and will be distributed at upcoming events held in Japan.

To coincide with the release of the second wave of new typefaces, the graphic examples on the special page have been significantly updated.

The page introduces the characteristics of each typeface, effective ways to use characters, and practical design tips. Be sure to explore these design “recipes,” which offer useful inspiration for everyday font usage.

A one-line specimen PDF that provides an overview of both the first and second waves of the 2025–2026 new typeface lineup is also available.

After logging in to the Morisawa Fonts service site, the new typefaces can be used by activating them.

Under “Find Font,” check “2025–2026 New Typefaces,” search, and select the desired fonts.
