Morisawa to release MORISAWA PASSPORT font app for iPad on December 17, 2019 Contributing to creating design environments with less constraints
Osaka, Japan - Morisawa Inc., Japan's leading font foundry, is pleased to announce the release of MORISAWA PASSPORT for iPad on December 17, 2019.

With iPads gaining in popularity in recent years, a pressing need has emerged in the field of design to expand tablet environments alongside traditionally dominant desktop design and creative environments. While MORISAWA PASSPORT was previously available for desktop computers only, this new functionality for iPad promises greater freedom in design work. The development of Morisawa fonts for iPadOS was announced at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, and the release of this app follows through on the announcement.
The standard font pack available with MORISAWA PASSPORT for iPad includes a selection of 471 popular Japanese and multilingual fonts from Morisawa, TypeBank, and other foundries, plus a new set of typefaces for 2019 that were released on October 24. The app will be available for download on December 17, 2019.
